I must admit, time flies when you're having fun. One moment I was out in NYC for NYE, and the next I am sitting here working on a 24-page midterm for my Theory and Methods course. Oh yeah, and that's just one class. Not to mention the reason why you're reading this, I've been creating music :)
I haven't been doing the best job of keeping up with you all, but I do want to say I appreciate all of the love and support from the beginning. When this journey started on March 1st, 2015, I did not imagine the music I wrote would get the attention it did. Jumping from acoustic sets with Alvaro to full band sets with Raul, Jay, Sweet Tone and Draw Four, I've loved every moment of it. I also want to give a huge thank you to GMEDIA group for all the love and support since we met in November. Just last month, GMEDIA and I decided to go into business together. Being in San Antonio has given me the opportunity to take my time in growing as a person/artist/scholar, and I have been blessed to work with and cross paths with so many great people. Most recently, a friend and I have began planning events for underrepresented artist(mainly women) in the city to showcase their art. Everything from visual to performing arts, I want people to have the same opportunities I had to be nurtured and to continue to create. With proceeds from the events going to assisting the battered women and children shelter of SA, I hope to see you all there once more details are announced. With my next project, I want to send good vibes to the LGBTQ community in solidarity with "love wins".
Vision is everything, and I hope you all can relate and appreciate the new music and visuals to come. Be patient with a sista though while I get this Ph.D. :)
